CAMPAIGNERS are scenting victory in their fight against plans for a new access road to a quarry.
They are celebrating after councillors said they were unhappy with the plans by the owners of White Rock Quarry in Sowood.
A further report was ordered by a Calderdale Council planning committee - leaving residents hoping the scheme will be ditched.
Quarry owners Marshalls Mono want to build a 300-yard road parallel to a narrow bridleway, Dean House Lane.
The company also wants to knock down a garage and wall at East View on Forest Hill Road to create a new junction with Dean House Lane.
Councillors sided with residents.
They fear disruption from an increase in the number of lorries at the quarry.
