A PEACE campaigner has welcomed funding to bring communities closer together.
Fartown woman Kiran Bali attended the launch of Face-to-Face and Side- by-Side at Westminster.
Communities secretary Hazel Blears announced £7.5m of investment at the event to help bring people of different religions together.
Kiran, who is director of Yorkshire and Humber Faiths Forum, said: “This is a very good partnership which reaffirms government support for the valuable work that faith groups make.
“The framework supports a greater understanding of shared values.”
