STAFF at Huddersfield chemical firm Syngenta have given £2,600 to the Laura Crane Trust.

The trust, which supports cancer patients aged 13 to 25, says the money will kick-start its bid to raise a second £1m.

Fundraiser Pam Thornes said: “The support we’ve received from Syngenta over the years has been wonderful. They have actively supported us and we are delighted.”

The trust was founded in 1996 by Jacqui Roeder, in honour of her daughter, who died at 17 from four types of cancer.
