THE hunt is on for a new landscape photographer to capture all that’s best of Yorkshire and the Peak District.

The competition is aimed at people under 18.

A panel of professional judges will be looking for pictures that show what the countryside means to the photographers, and which also promote the beauty of the local areas.

The judges will then pick the winners, which will be unveiled at a special awards night ceremony in the autumn.

Any wintry images, such as snowy towns and villages at Christmas, or wildlife in winter will also be in line to be chosen for their annual fundraising Christmas cards.

The prize for the overall winners in each category will be to receive a photography masterclass with professional landscape photographer Karen Frenkel.
