A CAR caught fire while it was being towed off a motorway.
The front brakes on the VW Golf overheated as it was being taken off the M62 at junction 25 near Brighouse at 10.45pm yesterday.
Brighouse firefighters confined the fire to the front of the car.
* A tractor was destroyed by fire in Mirfield.
An engine fault sparked the blaze in the tractor at Kershaw's Dairy on Wood Lane at noon yesterday.
Nobody was hurt.
