A CAR'S engine caught fire on the M62.
The Vauxhall Astra was on the motorway at about 10.30am on Tuesday when an electrical fault started the fire.
The driver couldn't see the flames because they were being dragged under the car by the wind.
A passing van driver finally managed to signal to the Astra driver to pull over at the Ainley Top junction.
Fire crews put out the blaze.
The driver was shaken, but otherwise uninjured.
