TWO women escaped serious injury when a car hit a house in Brighouse.
The driver is thought to have lost control of her Volkswagen Polo on the bend of Elland Road, Brookfoot, Brighouse, and smashed into the front door.
The women in the Polo suffered minor injuries and shock but were not taken to hospital.
The stone-built property is split up into homes. David Davey, 52, lives in part of the house and the car crashed into the flat where his son Raymond lives.
He said: "I heard a loud noise. I thought it was an explosion and ran to the flat. Luckily my son was not in at the time."
The wooden door was shattered and boarded up.
Police confirmed officers were called to a crash at 2.30pm on Tuesday.
