THREE friends cleaned cars to raise cash to help the tsunami victims.
The three 11-year-olds are pupils at Reinwood Junior School, Oakes.
The three - Jack Green, Sophie Smith and Jordan Peel - cleaned cars around their homes in Oakes and Marsh and raised £50.
Sophie's stepfather Curtis Lan said he was proud of all three children.
He said: "They did it by themselves because they wanted to raise the money to make a difference.
"People really responded to them, with a few drivers who didn't need their cars washing just chipping in cash anyway."
FEMALE footballers at Skelmanthorpe have raised £300 to help child victims of the tsunami disaster.
The Volare Restaurant women's football team took on the Scissett Under-14 girls' team in a charity match.
The cash raised was sent to Unicef.
Claire Outing, manager of the Commercial Street restaurant, said: "We hadn't decided what we should give the money to, but we felt that under the circumstances this was the most worthwhile cause."
