A care worker has been cleared of attacking a 100-year-old patient.
The case against Moreno Villegas was dropped by Kirklees Magistrates Court.
Mr Villegas was accused of slapping centenarian Dr Kevin Flaherty in the face at the Cleveland House Nursing Home, Edgerton, on January 17.
The carer, of Leymoor Road, Golcar, who no longer works at the home, was also accused of manhandling Dr Flaherty while taking him to the toilet at night.
Mr Villegas was due to face trial yesterday, but the case was discontinued due to insufficient evidence.
