A Brockholes man has been prosecuted - after driving past his ex’s home.

Carl Warwick, of New Mill Road, pleaded guilty to breaching his non-molestation order.

The order was made at Huddersfield Family Court last month.

It banned the 38-year-old from contacting his ex or going within 50 metres of her home.

Kirklees Magistrates’ Court heard that he drove past her address on June 4.

Warwick’s solicitor Jonathan Slawinski explained that he inadvertently took a route he was used to.

District Judge Michael Fanning gave Warwick a 12-month conditional discharge.

He must still pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.
