A PRINTER cartridge company is backing a Huddersfield-based charity.

Cartridge World (Yorkshire) Ltd, based on John William Street, Huddersfield, is partnering the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice to raise hospice funds.

The company has placed special drop boxes in all eight Forget Me Not high street shops in the region so that the public can donate their empty printer cartridges – with Cartridge World making a payment to the hospice for each one.

John Hirst, of Cartridge World, said: “We need a constant source of good quality empty cartridges for our business to function and our Recycle It programme is an excellent vehicle for this. We collect empty cartridges and pay a good price for each usable one, so it really is win-win situation for both of us. We are also both helping the environment by preventing valuable resource needlessly going into landfill.”

Jason Costello, of West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice said: “I am delighted to have entered this partnership with Cartridge World (Yorkshire) Ltd. This is an excellent way of raising extra, much-needed revenue and with very little effort and resource from us. Cartridge World does all the work and just sends us a regular cheque. What could be simpler? I look forward to a long and successful alliance.”
