MEMBERS of a credit union based in Huddersfield have been presented with Christmas hampers.

The luxury hampers were the prize in a scheme to encourage members of Castle & Minster Credit Union to nominate others to join and to encourage members to join the members’ lottery.

Tony Hood, chairman of the board of directors at Castle & Minster, presented the hampers to Rehana Kauser, Wendy Blakeley and Gaynor Watson.

Mr Hood said: “We have had many new members over the last two months signing up to save through payroll deduction.”

He added:” We have also had nearly 40 additional members sign up to join our lottery, which offers cash prizes of up to £150 each month. The lottery raises money to promote and develop the credit union and support our volunteers.”

Castle & Minster Credit Union has three main branches at Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Batley as well as satellite offices at Marsden and Deighton.
