DARING staff from Castle Hill School, between Newsome and Berry Brow, have tackled a zip slide to raise £1,500 for charity.

Nine staff and three friends took part in the 650ft long slide from 200ft high at Baitings Dam, Ripponden.

They raised the cash for the Anthony Nolan Trust, which runs one of the UK’s two bone marrow donor registers.

They also hope to do more events to raise funds for the school, which caters for children with severe disabilities and learning difficulties.
