It's not often you see cats and magpies sharing food - as one would usually turn into a meal for the other!

But Maz Iqbal caught this unlikely dinner party in Westborough, Dewsbury, and shared the pictures on Facebook.

And he said sometimes the birds even help the cats out by passing them food!

He said: "This is a second generation stray kitten which has grown up round the back of where I live.

"Every morning it's waiting outside for its breakfast which it has alongside the birds.

"The birds know it won't attack them and are happy to share each other's food.

"On occasion I've seen the magpies actually throwing food down so the cat can eat.

"This kitten is the only surviving one of a brood of four. Its mother also pops round every now and again."
