MURDER victim Stevie Cameron died of head injuries, it was revealed today.

The 22-year-old died of what police described as “severe” head injuries in a fracas at a house in Milnsbridge last weekend.

Mr Cameron was one of three people injured at a party in Tintern Avenue, which erupted into violence in the early hours of Sunday.

The other two men, aged 28 and 18 and both from Huddersfield, have now been discharged from hospital.

Police hunting the killer have revealed they are awaiting the results of vital forensic tests.

They hope the results will enable them to pinpoint exactly what happened at the party.

Twelve people have so far been arrested by detectives but all have been released on bail as the investigation continues. Police have been able to trace a large number of people who were at the party, and at an earlier 18th birthday party at Paddock Cricket Club.

Many tributes to Mr Cameron have been posted on the Gone Too Soon website.

His death was a second tragedy for his family, as his half brother Paul McKenzie died in a car crash three years ago.
