RESIDENTS on the Turnsteads estate in Cleckheaton have a new Listening Point.

It provides social care information on CDs for anyone who needs it.

The free service is provided at Turnsteads Community Centre.

It aims to overcome the communication barriers that people often face when using printed information.

The CDs help people to get information about the services they need in a way they find attractive and easy to use.

They can either listen to the CDs at the Listening Point or take them home to play in full on their own CD players, computers or game consoles.

The Listening Point project is a partnership between Kirklees Council and the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund.

It is paid for by the fund.
