The spectacles will go up for auction in three stages.

Laura Stuart, of charity Guide Dogs, said: "This is a once in a lifetime chance to bid for glasses and sunglasses that have actually been worn by your favourite celebrity, as well as supporting Shades Day and raising vital funds for Guide Dogs."

Other celebrities who have put their specs up for auction are John Howard, Will Young, Frank Skinner, Emma Bunton, Aggie MacKenzie, June Whitfield, Sharron Davies, Martine McCutcheon, Susie Blake, Jo Brand, Mark Foster and Jilly Cooper.
