YOUNG Huddersfield people are being offered the experience of a lifetime.

A summer job fair will be held in Manchester for the opportunity to work at Camp America.

Directors are flying over from the USA especially to recruit enthusiastic applicants with a love of children, travelling and the outdoors.

Joanne Hames, a student from Kirkheaton, took part in Camp America last summer and encouraged others to take part.

She said: "You have to be dedicated and put time and effort in - but it's really enjoyable.

"I went over as a lifeguard and completed several courses, as well as learning to jet-ski.

"When you go to the fair you have an opportunity to do something you're interested in.

"My experience was fantastic."

The fair will be held at Manchester Town Hall in Albert Square between 1pm and 5pm on Wednesday.

Applicants must be 18 or over by June and need to bring the necessary paperwork. For details of what will be needed, phone 0207 581 7306.
