FANCY reaching for the stars? Then a Huddersfield society can help.
Huddersfield Astronomical Society is offering a beginners course in star watching and people are being asked to join in.
The beginners Course in Astronomy starts next month and runs for six weeks.
A spokesman from the society said: “Whether you are a complete beginner or a veteran astronomer, young or elderly, male or female you will be welcomed by the society.
“Our aim is to cover all aspects of astronomy, encouraging people of all ages to pursue this fascinating science.”
Included in the course is a year’s membership of the society, loan of an eight inch telescope for home use, two visits to the Huddersfield Observatory at Crosland Hill or practical instruction and course materials for home study.
