A PILE-UP brought chaos to the M62 in West Yorkshire yesterday.

Just after 10.20am, four cars collided on the eastbound section, just before the Junction 25 slip road at Clifton, Brighouse.

The occupants of all vehicles suffered minor injuries.

There were also a number of minor accidents as traffic slowed and swerved to avoid the crash. One light goods vehicle ended up on the central reservation.

Tailbacks stretched about four miles and lasted for more than an hour.

Police closed the inside lane to recover the vehicles, but soon re-opened the whole motorway.
