Charity Anchor Staying Put helped more than 2,600 last year

A CHARITY set up to enable vulnerable people to stay in their own homes helped more than 2,600 residents last year.

Anchor Staying Put, funded by Kirklees Council, made a range of home improvements including fitting grab rails and key safes.

It also carried out free gas checks at more than 400 older people’s homes and replaced vulnerable door locks at 150 properties.
