A BOWLING club has raised £1,800 to help build a children's hospice.
Stainland Bowling Club held a bowling competition and organised raffles to raise the cash for the West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust.
The bowling contest was at the club and the raffles were held at the Duke Of York pub in Stainland and the Dog And Partridge at Sowood.
The fundraising was organised by club secretary Keith Lightowler and his wife, Molly.
Mrs Lightowler said: "We collected raffle prizes from restaurants, pubs and traders in Elland, West Vale and Stainland.
"Many were meals and the response we had was excellent. People were very generous."
