A NEW fundraising scheme is hoping for help from mobile phone users.
The West Yorkshire Forget-Me-Not Trust, which is raising money to build a children's hospice in the Kirklees area, is on the hunt for unwanted phones.
Every phone handed in will mean cash or vouchers for the charity and a step toward the hospice, which will serve terminally ill or palliative care children.
To achieve their goal, charity workers must raise £5m. Senior fundraiser Mandy Barwick - seen (right) with office administrator Sheridan Tipple - said: "It is a scheme that could massively benefit the charity. Every phone collected would mean £4 toward our cause."
If you would like to give your unused mobile, the Forget-Me-Not office at 32 Northgate, Elland, is open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 1.30pm, or call 01422 387382 to arrange collection.
