GENEROUS women handed over a charity cheque after a string of fundraising events.
Elland Ladies Circle raised the cash from a Bollywood night.
The women dressed in traditional Indian clothes and dined on curry.
They also raised cash with a Hollywood Bowl, a Christmas meal and a bonfire night.
They were able to give the National Children’s Centre £2537.70
Sharron Morgan, child contact centre coordinator, said: “The ladies had done all sorts of activities.
“The money will go towards activities for our contact centre – we really rely on donations and we are thankful this year Elland Ladies chose our charity.”
The National Children’s Centre on New North Parade provides practical services to improve the lives of children and their families.
