VOLUNTEERS are wanted by a charity shop - especially those with a nose for a valuable item.

The British Heart Foundation's shop in New Street is seeking specialist volunteers such as experts in records, books and music.

It also wants general help in sorting stock, pricing and window dressing.

Julie Clegg, area manager for Huddersfield, said: "Most people know someone affected by heart disease. By joining the team of BHF shop volunteers you can help the charity really make a difference.

"Without the help from local volunteers BHF Shops would not be able to raise the staggering £9m that they do every year."

The charity welcomes volunteers from all walks of life with no age restrictions.

Working in the shop can be valuable work experience and a way to learn new skills.

"There is a huge range of volunteering opportunities available at BHF shops, whether you can spare five days a week or even just an hour - it all helps," added Julie.

Anyone considering volunteering should call in at the shop at 99 New Street or call 0870 120 4141.
