TWO brave veterinary nurses took to the skies to raise money for charity.
Phillippa Abbott, who works at the Calder Veterinary Group's surgery in Old Leeds Road, Huddersfield, and Sarah Platts, who works at the group's Dewsbury hospital, raised about £1,000 with parachute jumps.
The women, who live in Earlsheaton and Heckmondwike, completed their 15,000ft leaps at Hibaldstow airfield, north Lincolnshire.
Both said the experience was fantastic and were thrilled to have done something so challenging for charity.
The money they raised will be divided between the Leeds Puppy Rescue organisation and the Cats Protection League.
The Calder Veterinary Group has a hospital in Dewsbury and surgeries in Huddersfield, Heckmondwike, Mirfield, Horbury and Wakefield.
