A CLUB for disabled youngsters is set to get a cash boost.
A charity night is being held at Colne Valley Leisure Centre in Slaithwaite to raise money for the Pick 'n' Mix club.
The group meets regularly at the centre, but organisers are raising cash to provide transport, so more youngsters can attend.
The fundraising event will be at 7.30pm on Saturday, December 3. Attractions will include local band Still No Name.
Golcar man Lee Holten, one of the organisers, said: "The club only began a few months ago.
"We began with just five people, but at the last meeting we had 14 children taking part in games and musical activities.
"We believe we could attract even more if we could organise regular transport to drop off and collect the children."
Youngsters at the club include Mr Holten's son, Thomas, 14, who has cerebral palsy.
Tickets for the charity night cost £6 from Scope on Wakefield Road at Aspley. Entry is free for under-16s.
