GET on your bike is the call made to cyclists wanting to take part in this year’s Holme Valley Mountain Bike Challenge to raise money for Holmfirth Scouts.
The group have just bought a new minibus but need more equipment.
The event is in its 17th year and a turn out of 400 cyclists is expected to complete the 30-mile course around the Holme Valley on September 13.
It combines local roads and lanes with more demanding off-road terrain.
The entry fee is £15.00 in advance and £18.00 on the day. Advance booking is recommended due to the popularity of the event and to guarantee a T-shirt.
