THE Victim Support charity in this area has launched a major campaign to increase its number of volunteers.
Last year, more than 13,000 people were helped by the Victim Support West Yorkshire service.
Now more volunteers are needed to continue to help support everyone who needs the service.
Spokeswoman Diane Shepherd said: "Being a Victim Support volunteer isn't easy. You're continually faced with different and often challenging situations.
"But it's an essential role, which really supports victims of crime in our community."
