BOOKWORMS at Royds Hall are learning what their peers read around the world.

Its Ch@t About Books scheme involves students in Year 7 and 8 communicating with children in schools in India, USA, Russia, Chile, Uganda, Pakistan and New Zealand via e-mail to find out what children are reading around the world.

They are using ePALS - a school-safe e-mail for the project.

Students are also designing their own postcards to spread the word about what they are reading.

Design technician Alison Richards is pictured with pupils in the library.
