A JURY will return to court today for a fourth day of deliberation in the case of a Chinese student who was kidnapped and held hostage in Newsome.
The jury was sent home again yesterday after failing to reach a verdict in the case.
Ming Ming Zheng, of Thornton Lodge, Hang Yu, of London; Min Fang He, of Burdett Road, Mile End, London, and Hong Zhu, of Pear Close, London, all deny conspiracy to kidnap and blackmail.
Qun Xue, 26, of Springdale Avenue, Thornton Lodge, and Ting Fu Guo, 26, of no fixed abode, have already admitted conspiring to kidnap Lishui Wu, 18, the son of two millionaires who was lured to Manor Street, Newsome, and tied up on January 14 this year.
The victim, a London business management student of Queen Mary College, London, had a monthly income of £5,000 from his parents who ran a shipping company.
