CHORISTERS in Longwood were in fine voice on Sunday when they took part in a sponsored "Hymn-along."
Members of Parkwood Methodist Church, which recently acquired a new organ, enjoyed a sponsored hymn singing session, conducted by Ken Rothery.
Members of the congregation were asked to choose a favourite hymn during either the morning service or an afternoon session.
Friends were asked to sponsor the singing of the hymn for £1.
The money raised will be put towards funding the cost of the new Albourne model organ which was manufactured in Germany.
Friends of the church are looking forward to the annual performance of Handel's Messiah in September which will boast not only the new organ but a choir of up to 80 singers.
