A CHOIR is hitting all the right notes with a Huddersfield charity after raising hundreds of pounds for it.
The U3A Ladies Choir raised £400 through its Songs for Summer concert, which was held at Moldgreen United Reformed Church last month.
All of the proceeds from the event, which featured guest folk singers, went to the Kirklees branch of the Alzheimer’s Society.
The cash will be used to help fun the branch’s Living with Dementia project, specifically its Friday First social club for people with dementia, which is held at the church.
The club provides activities and social contact for people living with the brain disease in a supportive and caring environment.
It aims to increase self-esteem and self-worth for people who are coping with the debilitating illness and provide respite for carers struggling to cope.
