SAINSBURY’S Market Street store is inviting customers and staff to nominate local charities to be their official local charity partner.

The selected charity will benefit through fundraising events or by staff volunteering to help in other ways.

Local people can nominate their chosen local charity by submitting a nomination form at the customer service desk. Sainsbury’s will draw up a short list and representatives from the top three short-listed charities will visit the store to talk to staff about what they do.

Store Manager, Colin Meah said: “We are keen to find a charity that is close to the hearts of our customers and colleagues. We want to make a positive difference to our local community and by supporting a local charity we can pull out all the stops to achieve something special for them.”
