A MAN has appeared in court via video link charged with allegedly threatening a baby with a knife.
Christopher Rowe, 22, faces numerous allegations in relation to the incident on September 15.
As reported at the time, police officers used a Taser gun to arrest a man who was believed to have been threatening a youngster at Bradley Mills Road in Bradley Mills.
Rowe, of Blackhouse Road in Fartown, faces a string of charges in relation to the alleged incident.
There are two of possessing a large kitchen knife, one of affray, two of criminal damage to police cars, two of common assault, one of assault causing actual bodily harm and one of possession of an offensive weapon.
He has not yet entered pleas in relation to the charges.
He faces a number of other charges unrelated to the September 15 incident – possession with intent to supply heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine on March 26; possession of a four-inch knife and possession of ammunition without a certificate on April 18; possession of scissors in a public place on July 6; and failing to answer bail on July 15.
Rowe appeared at Huddersfield Magistrates’ Court yesterday via video link from prison, where he is on remand awaiting trial.
His case was committed to Bradford Crown Court, where he will appear next month.
