A HOLME Valley church was in full bloom at the weekend as a flower show was staged.

Visitors flocked to the event at Scholes Methodist Church, at Marsh Road, which was held to mark the church’s 150th anniversary.

The colourful arrangements depicted the church year and activities.

They were created by members of the congregation and local people.

The event also featured music by guest organists.

The ‘celebrations’ themed floral festival finishes today, when children from Scholes Junior and Infant School will be performing traditional Maypole dances.
