YOUNG film-makers from Huddersfield are being asked to submit entries for the Co-operative Young Film-Makers Festival.

Movie-makers, aged 19 and under, have until June 26 to submit an entry, under six minutes long, for the festival, held at Bradford's National Media Museum on Thursday and Friday October 8 and 9.

Entries can be in any form, such as animation, music video or documentary, and on any topic.

Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz director and festival patron, Edgar Wright said: “Co-operative Young Film-makers is a fantastic opportunity for any young film-maker.

“I saw all of my early shorts in front of packed houses at the National Media Museum. It was great and inspired me ever onward.”

Entrants will receive feedback on their film and can take part in events and classes hosted by film experts.

Both experienced movie-makers and those who have never made a film before are encouraged to enter.
