A 29-YEAR-OLD man killed in a road tragedy has been named.

Shaban Hussain died at the scene when his car careered off a rural road into a field where it is believed to have rolled over several times.

The tragedy happened on Wakefield Road at Clayton West just after 1am on Sunday.

Mr Hussain, a married factory worker who lived on Chapel Fold in Batley, was driving one of three cars travelling together.

Two of the cars collided and Mr Hussain's ended up around 100m into the field.

The West Yorkshire Police helicopter hovered overhead to light up the scene while the 999 services dealt with the aftermath of the accident.

Five men - including Mr Hussain - were in the three cars and the other four were arrested in connection with the tragedy. Two were slightly hurt.

All have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

An inquest into Mr Hussain's death was opened at Bradford Coroners' Court yesterday.

It was adjourned for further police inquiries.

The crash happened as the three cars were travelling from Clayton West towards the Bretton roundabout.

The cars involved were a Toyota Carina, a Toyota Corolla and a Nissan Micra.

The car Mr Hussain was driving went into the field close to the junction with Kiln Lane.
