DOZENS of children have been enjoying a holiday club.

Eighty children aged from five to 10 took part in the club at Clayton West Methodist Church.

Volunteer Heidi Woodcock said: “The children spent half of each day out on a trip. They’ve been on a woodland trail and 10-pin bowling.

“They spent the other half of the day in church doing songs, games and craft activities based around a Bible story.”

Children from Clayton West and Scissett took part in the four-day holiday club which ended on Friday. They were helped by about 30 volunteers.

Heidi added: “It’s been brilliant; all the parents have been really positive about it and the children have had a great time.”
