A CLUB found out about Huddersfield’s best-known family at their latest meeting.
Local historian Cyril Pearce gave a talk to members of Huddersfield Pennine Probus club about the Ramsden family.
He talked about how the family were important to the development of Huddersfield, which they became virtual owners of for centuries. The family later sold their estates to Huddersfield Corporation in 1920.
