A HUDDERSFIELD man accused of murder had his name dramatically cleared yesterday.
Jamie Hislop, 22, of Sheepridge, was cleared of shooting clubber Michael Hanley on the directions of Judge Peter Fox QC .
The judge told jurors there was insufficient evidence as two conflicting witness accounts could not be relied upon.
Hislop had been accused of killing Mr Hanley, 23, of Harehills, east Leeds, outside Sheridan's Bar in Ravensthorpe in the early hours of December 27, 2005.
He still faces a charge of perverting the course of justice, which he denies.
