SPORTS stars are to raise charity cash in a ‘They Think It’s All Over’ style challenge.

Huddersfield Giant and New Zealand international Robbie Paul will be among the big names taking part in Game Set Match Live at St Paul’s Hall, Huddersfield University, on Wednesday at 7.30pm.

The event, based on the popular BBC comedy quiz show, will raise cash for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance as part of Huddersfield Town’s ‘Keep It Up’ campaign. Other sports personalities taking part are Leeds Carnegie and former New Zealand rugby player Henry Paul, Giants player Brad Drew, ex-Town manager Andy Ritchie, ex-Bradford player and Sky Sports pundit Dean Windass and ex-Middlesbrough player John Hendrie.

Mandy Barwick, manager of Lindley-based property company Heritage Exchange and former fundraiser for the West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust, will play quiz-mistress.

The event, organised by Huddersfield University sports promotion marketing students Elliot Thompson, Jon Nash and Christopher Davies, hopes to raise £3,000.

Tickets, priced £5, are available from Yates’s pub, King Street, and on the door.
