A BIG mental health event is planned for Saturday.
The South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Kirklees charity Support 2 Recovery (S2R) will mark World Mental Health Day with a celebration for the whole community.
The mental health charity has teamed up with Dewsbury and District Hospital’s Priestley Unit as part of the Trust’s Festival of Wellbeing, which aims to promote mental wellbeing and spread the message that 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem in the course of a year.
The event at Batley Older People’s Centre takes place between 1pm and 5.30pm.
Activities will include face painting, singing, arts workshops, Indian head massage and nail art. There will also be a tombola and raffle and a tea dance later in the afternoon.
