BACK in July of last year, I asked for anyone with information about a man in eye-catching fancy dress to contact police.
The man, wearing what was described as a red suit and an elaborate hat, was wanted in connection with the assault of a 49-year-old man from Brighouse in Huddersfield town centre.
We’re still looking for him and would like to ask for your help again.
He was pictured on CCTV around the time of a disturbance at Byram Street on June 21.
When the Brighouse man tried to intervene in an altercation between a man and a woman he was punched in the head, causing two cuts and bruising to his eye socket.
Anyone who recognises him should call police on 0845 6060606 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
On a different matter, we’re also looking for a man in connection with the theft of a wallet from Asda in Brackenhall.
On Saturday January 30, a customer put their wallet down while at the till at the Bradford Road supermarket.
The black wallet containing cash, bank cards and a driving licence was taken.
Anyone who recognises the man pictured should call Pc John Hobman on the numbers listed above.
Finally, we’re appealing for witnesses to a robbery in Kirkheaton at the back end of last week.
A 14-year-old boy was walking along New Road near the junction with Willowbank Grove at about 8.30pm on Friday when he was approached by three youths.
One restrained him while another frisked him and the third acted as a look-out.
They stole his Sony Ericsson W205 mobile phone.
All three robbers were in their mid to late teens.
One was white, slim, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall and wearing a black Nike hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and a black scarf over his face.
Another was black, about 5ft 8ins tall, stocky and wearing dark clothing.
The third was also wearing dark clothing.
Anyone with information should call Det Con Mark Lunn at Huddersfield CID via 0845 6060606 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
