WE would like to remind students to be vigilant about who they might be letting into secure halls of residence.

A man who followed two students into an apartment block on Firth Street in Huddersfield, which is accessible only by a key card, is believed to have stolen a bicycle.

The man spoke to the students in the entrance hall, but became aggressive when asked which room he was visiting and left.

He is suspected of stealing a Barracuda Azzuri racing bicycle from the communal area of the apartment block at 6.30am on May 19.

Anyone with information about the suspect, pictured on CCTV talking on a mobile phone, should contact Pc Lisa Cornforth at Huddersfield Police Station on the number below.

We also need your help to trace a man suspected of burgling a farmhouse at Colnbridge at about 8.45am on May 6.

He went into the unoccupied property with two other men through the front door of the farmhouse.

They made a tidy search of the house before taking computer equipment and cash.

The man is described as being in his mid 20s, of medium build and with short, dark hair.

He was wearing a white top with a motif on the left side of the chest, blue trousers with a strip down the side and dark trainers with white soles and long white laces.

Our third image shows a woman wanted for questioning in connection with the theft of a purse from Peters on King Street in Huddersfield town centre at lunchtime on May 5.

The woman walked into the shop, removed the £45 leather pink purse from the display, put it in her handbag and left without paying.
