A teenager was found with cannabis after police stopped the car he was travelling in.

Connor Woolston, 19, pleaded guilty to possessing the class B drug.

Police were conducting stop searches on Bradford Road in Cleckheaton at just after 7pm on August 13.

They pulled over a vehicle with three occupants, including Woolston.

They could smell cannabis and found the drug in the console of the car.

Woolston also had a bag of the drug concealed on his person.

Kirklees magistrates heard that he was a casual user.

Magistrates fine Woolston, of Fellside Close in the town, £80.

He must pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

The cannabis will be forfeited and destroyed.
