Conservative election posters cut down from lampposts in Scissett, Skelmanthorpe and Clayton West

ELECTION posters have been removed from three villages just days before polling day.

Signs supporting Clr John Cook have been cut down from lamp-posts in Skelmanthorpe, Scissett and Clayton West.

The Denby Dale Conservative will defend his seat in tomorrow’s Kirklees Council election.

Clr Cook said: “The posters were all mounted and positioned sufficiently high that a ladder and cutters would be required to remove them.

“I find it very sad that these tactics should be used.”
