WOULD-BE David Baileys are gearing up for a photographic contest at Bolster Moor.

The Bolster Moor Community Association has organised the competition, which is open to all.

It is part of a larger project, the Bolster Moor photographic archives, which were started three years ago.

Already there are 2,000 documents and pictures in the archives, dating from 1850 to 1950.

All relate to Bolster Moor and its surrounding area.

In the competition, people have to take photos which provide a snapshot of people, places and events around Bolster Moor.

The two main prizes are £25 for adult entr- ants and £25 for juniors.

These prizes have been provided by Bolster Moor Community Association.

Local businesses have provided other prizes, including two tickets for Bradford's Imax cinema.

The rules of the contest are that photo- graphs must have been taken between last October and October 31 this year.

Photographs must be of sites within a two mile radius of Bolster Moor Baptist Church.

There are no specific categories.

Entry costs £1 for adults and 50p for juniors.

For an entry form, contact the Golcar Lily at Bolster Moor, Clough Head School, the Corn Mill in Slaithwaite or Graham and Andi Butler on 01484 648023.

Each form allows people to enter 10 photographs.
