FLAVOURS of the Continent are in the air as one of Huddersfield’s most popular markets hits town.

New Street is alive once again with the hustle and bustle of the Continental Market, offering a variety of authentic quality produce from across Europe.

The wide range of stalls include Dutch and French cheeses, German sausages, Brittany biscuits and Italian leather.

The Dutch flower garden offers a variety of plants while thirsty shoppers are able to take advantage of the German beer garden.

Meanwhile, the Piazza has been transformed into an international food and drink quarter, giving visitors the chance to wine and dine in the heart of the town centre.

The market runs until Sunday.

Opening hours are 9am to 5pm, Sunday 10am to 4.30pm.

The food quarter will be open until late into the evening.
