AN opportunity to learn how people celebrated Easter more than 300 years ago comes up this month.
In another of the popular ‘Cooking Up’ series at Oakwell Hall in Birstall, on Saturday March 27, people will be able to help prepare an Easter feast.
In the museum’s 17th Century kitchen, participants will be able to see how a casserole would have been prepared and learn traditional cookery skills on the open fire and charcoal range.
The course, from 2 to 4pm, will finish with participants enjoying the food they've cooked.
The cost is £10, including tuition and ingredients.
To book, contact Oakwell Hall and Country Park, Nutter Lane, Birstall, on 01924 326240.
